All answers will vary to each patient since all cases are different.
What is a Breast Implant Surgery
Breast implant augmentation involves using implants to create larger and more filled up breasts, or to restore breasts that may have lost volume. Size and shape of one’s breasts are the main matter of this surgery. Breast implants can increase the fullness and projection of your breasts, improve the balance and proportions of your figure and improve your self-image, self esteem and self-confidence. Going through breast implant augmentation alone does not correct severely drooping breasts. If you would like your breasts to look fuller and more lifted due to sagging, an additional breast lift surgery, which can be performed with implant augmentation, may be required.

How is Breast Implant Surgery Performed?
TYPE 1. UNDER ARMPIT INCISION
The under armpit incision method is also called the transaxillary method. The breast implants are placed through an armpit incision. The armpit incision is barely visible and blends in with the natural crease of the armpit. An endoscope is used to help in the creation of the pocket for the breast implant and also for accurate positioning. Unlike other approaches, this procedure can be performed with a wide range of patients. This method is especially appealing to people who want to keep the surgery their little secret.
TYPE 2. BREAST FOLD INCISION
This surgical approach method is most commonly used in the Western countries. An incision is made at the fold below the breast, and the scar can be hidden. The biggest advantage of this method is that the surgery and recovery time is short compared to other methods of incision. However, a slight scar may be visible when the lower part of the breast is exposed.
TYPE 3. AREOLA INCISION
The scar is barely visible with the areola incision surgical method since the incision is performed in the lower parts of the areola. This method allows the surgeon to be more careful and precise with the implant’s placement because direct vision of the surgical site can be seen. It also allows the surgeon to handle the breast tissues directly for better implant adaptation. The disadvantage of this method is that the operation may take longer depending on the size of patient’s areola.
Types of Implants
TYPE 1. ROUND
As the most common breast implant used in breast augmentation, the bottom is round and the middle is curved. The shape is natural whether the person is standing or lying down and is used to increase the overall volume of one’s breasts. It is especially useful for older people who have no upper breasts since it gives a voluminous look to the upper region.
For the round implant prosthesis, there are two types of textures which are used. The “Smooth” and “Textured” type. While the textured type is more common, there may be a chance that the smooth type may have to be implanted if the patient has thin skin or less breast tissues. The textured type, which has an un-even surface, allows the breast tissues to grow between the curves, allowing the prosthesis to be naturally fixated.
TYPE 2. TEARDROP
The tear-drop implant has a shaped like the breast itself. As the most similar shaped breast implant, the tear drop implant looks more anatomical and the bottom part is more voluminous than the round type. Also, when using these breast implants for breast augmentation, the nipples are slightly raised making an ideal breast feature. It is especially useful for people who have small, flat, or droopy breasts.
TYPE 3. MOTIVA
The newest technological advancement in medical implants has lead to the development of Motiva Ergonomix, a silicon gel-type implant that has the most optimal shape retention that allows for smoother shape, fit, and adaptation. Motiva is a perfectly balanced implant solution that minimizes incisions and allows for the safest surgeries. Motiva has been used by surgeons across 60 different countries including England, France, Germany and other European countries, as well as Japan and more. It is a high-end premium breast implant that allows for better movement, shape, and feel compared to pre-existing implants. Thus it is widely recognized as the most technologically advanced top 1% premium grade breast implant at the present day.
